Still in the second edition of the giants’ race ( Digital Health Awards 2020), the winner of the six Digital Health Awards remains none other than Healthwise.
 To those of you who are old and new readers of Digital Health Articles, hang around I will take you through what Digital Health Awards are and how Digital health has played a significant role in our Healthcare system today.
What are Digital Health Awards?
Digital Health Awards now in its 22nd year is to recognize high-quality digital health resources for consumers and professionals. The awards program is organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), a clearinghouse for professionals who work in consumer health fields, but because of the dynamic nature of digital health resources, the Digital Health Awards competition is held twice each year — Spring and Fall.
 And all resources developed, produced, published or updated between 9/1/2019 and 9/1/2020 qualified to enter the Fall of 2020 Digital Health Awards.
What is Digital Health?
Digital health, which includes digital care programs, is the convergence of digital technologies with health, healthcare, living, and society to enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery and make medicine more personalized and precise. Definition Source – Wikipedia
 Within a wide scope, digital healthcare combines categories such as mobile health (mHealth), health information technology (IT), wearable devices, telehealth and telemedicine, and personalized medicine.
How is Digital Health important in our day to day life?
Digital health technologies are giving professionals a more realistic view of patients’ health. This has been achieved through access to data and giving patients more control over their health.
Digital health professionals are also using Digital health tools in their efforts to;
- Make medicine more personalized for patients.
- Reduce costs in production.
- Reduce inefficiencies (Avoiding predictions)
Now that we have gone through a little bit about Digital Health Awards and the background of digital health let’s dive back to our winner.
The winner of Six Digital Health Awards in the fall of 2020, is none other than Healthwise.org. Healthwise, a leader in evidence-based health education, technology, and services, on its website Healthwise, published that it won six Digital Health Awards for its digital patient education assets in the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC) Fall 2020 competition.
