How One Can Release Stress During This Lockdown.

We all feel stressed sometimes, however there are simple ways on how one can release stress during this lockdown.

Regular Exercise:

Regular exercise can help lower stress and anxiety by releasing endorphins and improving your sleep and self-image. Activities such as walking or jogging that involve repetitive movements of large muscle groups can be particularly stress relieving.

Aromatherapy:

Aromatherapy can help lower anxiety and stress. Light a candle or use essential oils to benefit from calming scents. Try to relax as you breathe in the scents.

Keep a journal:

Keeping a journal can help relieve stress and anxiety, especially if you focus on the positive. Make it a habit to write down to the things you are grateful for every day.

Spend some time with friends or family:

Having strong social ties may help you get through stressful times and lower your risk of anxiety. Find the humor in everyday life, spend time with funny friends or watch a comedy show to help relieve stress. Studies showed that men and women with more social connections were less likely to suffer from stress. You can utilize video and audio calls to talk to them if you can’t meet physically.

Prioritize your life:

Try not to take on more than you can handle and focus on what is important. Normalize saying because saying no is one way to control your stressors. Prioritize what needs to get done and make time for it. Staying on top of your to-do list can help ward off procrastination-related stress.

Do some Yoga:

Yoga is widely used for stress reduction. It may help lower stress hormone levels and blood pressure. Take time off every day, maybe in the morning after you wake up to do yoga and charger your day. Another thing you can do is to get a quiet time; like 10 minutes every day and cool down. Go to a quiet place, sit and relax your thoughts.

Listen to some Music:

Listening to Music you like can be a good way to release stress when you are stuck at home in the lockdown. Music brings a sense of calmness and helps you relax. There are different kinds of music that you can listen to depending on the mood.
