Neteera Sensor Measures Heart Rate From Across the Room.

Neteera has developed a sensor that can measure heart rate from across the room even when a person is clothed. While on CNBC, Neteera Technologies CEO,  Isaac Litman explained how this technology works. There is a movement that happens in the body when our heart beats. Even though we may be able to see it, it can be measured using technology. Taking advantage of science from centuries ago, Neteera developed a small radar sensor that detects that movement from the skin.

The small radar they use can send a very weak beam that can penetrate clothes but not the skin. It then senses micro emotions on the skin of an individual and convert them into actionable data. This data can then be used to measure various aspects of the heart like cardiovascular, pulmonary functions, blood pressure, heart rate and more.  The sensors by Neteera are contact free and they could be of vital importance in this era of COVID. There is therefore no need of telling patients to take off their clothes.

This technology can be put to use anywhere in hospitals, at home or public places. This technology can always monitor without you even paying attention. Unlike smartwatches and Fitbit, you don’t need to wear the devices or put them on your body.

Neteera, founded in 2019 is valued at $49M. Neteera enables a new generation of sensor technology to emerge and have made a substantive contribution in the field of digital health.
