WhatsApp is testing support to send images in high quality without compression in the upcoming updates. The Facebook-owned company automatically lowers the resolution of images and videos sent to allow people with slow networks also enjoy their services. This however will change as user will be allowed to choose the image quality they want to send.
According to WABETAINFO, an online channel that always checks beta updates in WhatsApp, WhatsApp beta v2.21.14.16 for Android, the messaging service has introduced will have three new quality settings when sending images
Auto (recommended):Â WhatsApp detects and automatically compresses images when you choose this.
Best quality:Â WhatsApp will send the image the way it is without altering the image quality. This setting will however consume more data.
Data saver: WhatsApp will be compress and send the image faster but in a low quality.
Other WhatsApp versions like WhatsApp GB, TM WhatsApp and more modes allow you to send images in the quality they are in. It is high time the main WhatsApp adds the feature.
