Shetechtive Uganda selected among The Future is Female Mentorship Program 2021.

The Future is Female Mentorship Program has selected twenty-five (25) female-led startups in Africa and Shetechtive from Uganda is among. The program was launched in 2020, with the aim of helping African women with tech startups serving African markets or Africans in the diaspora understand how to leverage this knowledge to earn wider visibility to build their brand.

Shetechtive is a Ugandan Social Enterprise founded by Rebecca Nanono to empower girls and young women use technolgy for their well being. With the lockdown, schools have closed and resorted to online learning which has left out most students in remote areas. To bridge this gap, Shetechtive Uganda is providing learners with devices like Laptops, tablets, smartphones and flash disks that contain free open source educative content. This educative content ranges songs, applications, videos and more that helps children in their learning. Laptops are made accessible and affordable to girls who get them and pay over a 6 month period. Rebecca and her team also visits schools with tablets that contain materials which help them solve math problems easily. By using Apps and games, children easily and quickly get the math concepts.
