uganda artists should register to get help

All Artists Should Register With Uganda Music Association to Enable Them Get Help.

Artists were advised to register with Uganda Music Association (UMA) in order for them to get help
but up to date some haven’t registered yet and continue the cry out for help.

In the essence of Covid-19, many artists from Uganda came out demanding financial benefits or some incentives
from the government to help them through the pandemic situation.

Artists like Willy Mukabya, Hajjat Madinah commonly Bibuuza, Amooti Omubalanguzi who doubles as a
comedian and others came out in the limelight pleading for any financial support from the government
since they had found hardships with rental fees and other essentials.

Though their cry out, the government didn’t come to help them each one individually nor lifting lockdown
on them but rather individuals and other companies helped them.

While appearing on national TV in today’s morning, Jennifer FullFigure reminded all artists to register
with Uganda Music Association (UMA) if they want to benefit from it, implying UMA will not give out
money to artists who are not registered with it because they aren’t recognized.

” Uganda artists should register themselves with Uganda Music Association (UMA) for them to be
recognized and given help by the government”, She said.
