The New Year 2021 is here and I look at the New Year’s Eve that was in Uganda. 2020 has been a year like never for the millennials and younger generations in Uganda and the rest of the world. There have also been positive and negative events throughout the year. From the pandemic to the Black Lives Matter Movement, we have seen a lot. We have also witnessed horrors on our streets as we prepare for the 2021 general elections. It has been life-changing as we embraced working home, attended online classes, shows, and Dance parties.
To fast forward, this has been the most unique new years eve and new years celebrations I have witnessed. On New Year’s eve, we always look forward to those huge parties, church overnights for believers; I have a belief that a year started from the church is a promising one. We cannot forget the huge fireworks that rock the skies at midnight. This year has however been silent. The skies remained dark, rain poured from the skies as we crossed to the new year.
However, we cannot sit and rue the missed opportunities to the party but be thankful for surviving 2020 and entering the New Year 2022. The pandemic is still there and it is our responsibility as Ugandans to take the necessary precaution and protect our people.
We at TechHealthNow Wish You a Happy and Blessed New Year 2021.
