Due to the Covid-19 crisis that broke out at the end of 2019. All travelers across the globe are facing constant delays aboard to their destinations. Air Asia has developed a digital health self-check-in pass called Scan2Fly for its passengers for Covid-19 documents check and verification before boarding.
Scan2Fly uses Artificial Intelligence and allows you to upload your documents required during self-check-in for specific destinations (Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, Surabaya, and Jakarta.) due to COVID-19. To determine your travel eligibility this feature takes just a few seconds to analyze your document(s) validity.
How Scan2Fly works?
For simple use cases, Air Asia Scan2Fly AI system is built for both web and application-based systems.
- Guest scans or uploads the certificate/document during the self-check-in process
- The AI integrated with Air Asia’s check-in portal analyzes the uploaded document based on several factors required by the destination country:
- 72-hour validity (or as prescribed) from the date of the sample provided to the clinic or lab
- Guest’s name must match the certificate/document
- Type of test done and result
- The certificate/document’s credibility (whether it is from an accredited clinic or hospital)
- Within a few seconds, the guest will receive a verification if his/her document details are valid, or a rejection message if the details are invalid.
